Kawasaki KZ 1000 CSR

Helped by John and Steven Williams we double checked for electrical faults one last time before fighting to get the carburettors off. On inspection there was a lot of green verdigris on the float needle seats causing most of the float needles to be sticky. Also each and every one of the four idle jets was blocked solid. Painstaking work over about four hours by John, Steve Williams and I, saw all four carbs disassembled cleaned and rebuilt. Now they are ready to be put back on the bike and tested out. Fingers crossed it runs OK and they don’t leak fuel. Then it will be a case of fighting the carb to air cleaner box connectors back into place.
