I was not personally present at the session, so we owe the following summary of what took place to club Chair person Phil McCathey...
CBR100F:
Chris/Gareth/Don replaced the inlet rubbers after first removing the metal restrictor plates that were inside them. They were removed after comparing them with the old rubbers which didn't have them. Unfortunately new insulator band screws (like Jubilee clips) needed to be ordered to complete the job so we could put the carbs back on..
YAMAHA MAJESTY:
Chris and Harry worked on Yer Majesty.. The screen was located in the container and fitted at the workshop. The bike was then started and it ran well. Minor repairs to the plastics were all that it now needed.
KAWASAKI Z550:
AJ, Dave Wooley and Ioan worked on the wiring and sorted out the indicator problem. Essentially the bike is finished. The starter button was also replaced.
KAWASAKI Z250:
New member Dan removed the unwanted lines on the rear panel and started rubbing it down ready for painting by Andy Smith.
SUZUKI BANDIT 1200:
Andy Smith finished off the frame painting and Ioan put the oil cooler back on. The bike was started after charging the battery for a while. It sounded and looked fabulous and was, to all intents and purposes, finished as can be seen from Andy Joiner's photos of it.
YAMAHA TX500:
AJ. Dave W, and new member Phil Rivers, started rebuilding the engine. There was some debate about whether all the parts were there to complete the rebuld.
ARMSTRONG 500:
Heinz brought in his welding kit and made a replacement for a broken frame bracket which was tidied up and given a coat of primer to prevent rusting presumably. Kieran was on hand to oversee the welding to make sure health and safety was observed by all.
HONDA 650 Vigor.
Mal and John R replaced the front brake pads. Kieran discussed with Mal what needed to be ordered by us to finish it.
In other news...
The new T-shirts and Overalls were given out to members who had requested/needed them.
